Regulatory & agency filings.

State and federal agency paperwork that keeps the operation legal — Texas RRC, Louisiana LDNR, Oklahoma OCC, Texas GLO, federal BLM, ONRR, and the local regulatory bodies the land department interacts with on every drilling project.

Above · The agencies that approve the work. The state regulators don’t care how good your title is or how clean your contracts are if your P-5 is expired or your unit designation isn’t on file.
What we do

Compliance, filings, and agency liaison.

We handle the regulatory paperwork that keeps an oil and gas operation legal in every state we work. From operator authorization to pooling designations to severance tax filings to BLM federal lease administration — we file the paper and chase the approval.

File

Operator authorization, well permits, pooling and unit filings, severance tax returns.

Track

Filing deadlines, renewal cycles, P-5 expiration, bonds, and renewal calendars.

Liaise

Direct contact with agency staff for application review, hearing prep, and approvals.

Regulatory services by jurisdiction.

Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) — operator authorization

RRC — pooling & unit designations

Filing the unit at the agency.

The pooling designation is the operator’s public declaration of the unit’s boundary. We prepare and file unit designations and pooled unit plats per RRC field rules.

Voluntary pooling designation preparation and recording · Field rules compliance and special-field-rules unit filings · Statewide Rule 37 exception applications (well-spacing exceptions) · Statewide Rule 38 density exception applications · Form P-15 application for surface commingling and gas-purchaser declarations · Allocation well filings and PSA (production sharing agreement) unit reporting

RRC — production reporting

Monthly PR reports and the data flows around them.

Every producing well files monthly production reports. The land team works alongside accounting to ensure unit-level allocations, lease numbers, and well classifications are correct.

Show full scope

Monthly Form PR production report reconciliation · Lease number and lease name maintenance · Gas well allocation and oil well allocation · Form CI-D and gas connection notice filings · High-cost gas and tight-gas exemption certification (Form AP-204, AP-216)

Louisiana Office of Conservation (LDNR)

The Haynesville regulator.

For Haynesville and northern Louisiana operations, the Louisiana Office of Conservation is the primary regulator. We file applications, hearing notices, and compliance reports.

Texas General Land Office (GLO)

State mineral leases and Permanent School Fund acreage.

The Texas General Land Office leases the state’s mineral estate — covering Permanent School Fund, Permanent University Fund, Relinquishment Act lands, and the state-owned riverbed acreage. The leasing and reporting requirements are distinct from private leases.

Federal BLM & ONRR

Federal mineral leases on the public domain.

On federal mineral acreage, the Bureau of Land Management is the lessor and the Office of Natural Resources Revenue (ONRR) collects royalty. The paperwork has its own rhythm and rules.
